Job Description

We are helping a lovely online retail business Digital Product Manager. The role is based remotely, with some travel to offices in Dublin and Cork (or it can be based from there). It is a permanent position. More details are below↓

About the right person:

You are Insights driven.  You are uncompromisingly customer focused. You use customer insight to ensure a deep understanding of our customers’ problems, define the correct priorities to tackle and create a clear brief. Analytically, you use data to inform decision-making and uncover new product opportunities. You understand the competitive landscape and industry trends and use this understanding to identify sustainable competitive advantages.

You execute.  You start with the problem, always. You have a stubborn focus on understanding, refining and articulating the problem (or opportunity) your team is solving and you ensure the team around you are oriented around the problem and able to explain it too. You ensure this understanding and articulation is continually evolved and improved. You ship the whole customer experience, this includes working across the business (e.g. collaborating with UX, marketing, sales, customer service etc) to ensure that we are set up for success from the moment we release. You ship to learn, you identify the biggest assumptions and risks to build clear hypotheses for learning. You are hungry for insights, open to proving yourself wrong, and most of all, share and act on the learning to deliver valuable products.

You know that outcomes are ultimately all that matters. Shipping is your heartbeat. You drive a consistent shipping cadence. But it’s not just the speed at which you ship, it’s also the quality of the product. You hold yourself accountable to the customer and business impact of your work.

You are strategic.  You set strategy and influence others to think big about where we are headed and how we will get there. You are responsible for roadmap creation. You will take in a range of inputs and perspectives and clarify and prioritise problem focus areas for the team. You can clearly rationalise and articulate why we are pursuing one set of priorities versus another. As important as creating strategy & roadmaps is ensuring that these are understood and internalised by all - you are responsible for driving this alignment across teams & stakeholders. You evangelise the product management method across the business.

You are a Leader. You inspire and motivate others to work towards a clear, compelling vision. You communicate clearly, concisely and assertively. You build engaged, high-performing collaborative and inclusive teams, you fully leverage the best from those around you. You proudly own your product area, for your team.
